Strong
for strong growth
Operating in France, Europe and abroad
The problems of isolation, access to care and under-equipped sanitation, while essential in France, are vital for many countries around the world, particularly in Africa and Latin America.
In response to structural deficiencies in healthcare models, telemedicine has taken off in leaps and bounds, and digital healthcare has become the most attractive business sector. Doxamed (formerly Loxamed) is one of the players behind this movement in France, and it aims to reinforce these transformations by further developing its local healthcare missioń. It has alreadỳ built with all its partners medical, mobile, modular, connected, operational and secure solutions to facilitate access to care, streamline medical processes, act preventively by training, screening, diagnosing and vaccinating.
Doxamed (formerly Loxamed) is structured for development in both the public and private sectors, and aims to expand even further in Europe and worldwide.
Frost & Sullivan estimates that the global digital health market will be worth $234.5 billion by 2023, an increase of 160% on 2019. This growth is mainly due to needs linked to an aging population and a sharp rise in chronic diseases.
The rise of telemedicine in France
and around the world
Worldwide, the teleconsultation market has more than doubled in 5 years, with an estimated $41.2 billion in 2021, compared with $20.2 billion in 20161. It is estimated at around €5 billion in France over the next 5 years2.
Before the Covid-19 pandemic and since 2018, certain teleconsultations were reimbursed when they met certain specific criteria: the practitioner must alreadỳ know the patient; the care pathway must be respected. Telemedicine encompasses a variety of procedures, for which Doxamed (formerly Loxamed) offers numerous solutions: teleconsultation, tele-expertise, remote monitoring, remote assistance, medical response provided as part of medical regulation. During the Covid-19 pandemic, telemedicine demonstrated́ that it was a major asset in protecting the health of the greatest number of people.

Containment has made it possible to change the regulations so that
all teleconsultations to be reimbursed by the health insurance scheme, even if the practitioner does not know the patient.
In the last week of April 2020, as a result of pandemic measures, French health insurance recorded 1 million teleconsultations, compared with 10,000 at the beginning of March. 4.5 million teleconsultations took place in April alone, compared with 75,000 in 2019. The number of teleconsultations will reach 1.9 million in November 2020.
In the medium term, 15 to 25% of physical consultations could switch to teleconsultation. This could reduce the number of daily trips by half a million (out of a total of 43 million) in the Paris region3.
